Thank you.

With the end of the campaign for Metro Council in District 8, I want to thank you with my deepest appreciation for the confidence you showed in me with your votes to reelect me as your voice for another four years.

To those of you who supported me with your time and efforts, thank you. I could not be successful without your help. To those who cast your vote for me, I promise to continue my work to improve the quality of life in Madison, Inglewood, Maplewood and GraMar. If I didn’t win your vote this time, I hope you will still let me know your views. Your participation is important and I want to represent everyone in District 8 equally.

And to the other candidates in this campaign, I ask you to stay involved and work with me to continue moving our community forward. While we might have been opponents on the ballot, I know we share a common desire for a better future.

Working together has always been my approach to good government. I believe that Nashvillians of all views should come together in the Council to address the needs of our city and make all of Nashville the home we want it to be.

Working with Mayor Dean and my fellow council members, we have placed a new priority on public safety, raised our graduation rates and brought new investment to Nashville – without raising your taxes.

It has been my honor to work for you the past four years as the Council Lady for District 8 and I look forward with great confidence that we can continue the progress we have started… together.
